The whole team organising the festival is so eager to welcome back the public and recreate this unique atmosphere that they have redoubled their efforts, working even harder and faster towards what will be the
first edition of the festival’s next decade.
So in this festive season, JAZZ A JUAN is playing at being Father Christmas, adding to that sack of gifts the
first three names of the artists headlining… on the final evenings of the 61st festival…

SATURDAY 16th July – Gilberto Gil
A leading ambassador of Brazilian music, he has become, in the course of a career brimming with musical
diversity, the best-known Brazilian artist of his generation at an international level … What more can we
say, apart from the fact that just one listen is enough to understand the reasons for Mr Gilberto Gil’s success,
programmed this year in the Gould pine grove which he already knows well, having often triumphed there…

SUNDAY 17th July – Diana Krall
Diana Krall is considered a real phenomenon in the history of jazz. Her inimitable style transcends musical
genres and has enabled her to become one of the most striking artists of our times. Today, the biggest music
halls welcome this lady who has joined the jazz greats and the Gould pine grove is delighted to have her
back.(Her last concert in Juan: 2019)

MONDAY 18th July – Herbie Hancock
Herbie Hancock has always been – and remains to this day – at the forefront of international culture, technology
and music. Besides being hailed as a legendary pianist and composer, he has played a key role in all
movements of popular music since the 1960s. Hancock has received an Academy Award for his Round
Midnight film score and 14 Grammy Awards.
Many of his compositions are modern classics which have profoundly impacted all styles of contemporary
music. In 2011, he was named as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. (His last concert in Juan: 2015)
