Initiated by artgenève under the High Patronage of S.A.S. Prince Albert II de Monaco and direction of Thomas Hug, artmonte-carlo will be held for the 7th time this year at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. artmonte-carlo, a unique platform on the French Riviera, will bring together a prestigious selection of international contemporary art galleries including Hauser & Wirth, White Cube, Perrotin, Air de Paris, Almine Rech, Mennour, Franco Noero and Esther Schipper as well as modern and antique art dealers such as Vedovi, Robilant+Voena, Van de Weghe and Moretti Ward.

In addition to the stands, the public will be able to discover outdoor sculptures on the Esplanade of the Grimaldi Forum.

The Prix artmonte-carlo F.P.Journe will be awarded by a prestigious Jury to the best presentation showcased by a gallery at the fair. One of the works from the awarded stand will be purchased and donated to an institution of the region.

Coinciding partner events of this year’s edition of the fair include a large-scale retrospective dedicated to Claude Monet at the Grimaldi Forum, a rare solo exhibition of George Condo, along with an exhibition of Mauro Restiffe’s work at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco and the Monaco Art Week. In addition, the biannual F(ê)aites de la Danse, organized by the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, will take place on the Place du Casino for 24 hours.

In the region, the MAMAC, the Villa Arson, the Marc Chagall Museum in Nice, the Venet Foundation in Le Muy, the Luma Foundation in Arles, the Maeght Foundation and the CAB Foundation in Saint Paul de Vence, the Château Lacoste in Aix-en-Provence, the Collection Lambert in Avignon and the Carmignac Foundation on the island of Porquerolles will all present their summer exhibitions. Les Rencontres d’Arles will also open early July.
