The support series has been a constant fixture on the F1 calendar since it first appeared in 1993, and the extension
means the series will have supported F1 weekends for almost four decades.
The 2023 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season will form part of eight European Formula 1 weekends, with the 31st
Supercup season kicking off in May as a support to the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix with the finale taking place at the
Italian Grand Prix in September. Additionally, individual rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan and Porsche Carrera
Cup Asia also continue as part of the Formula 1 support programme.
For the 2023 season, the international one-make cup contest will see 28 permanent spots available for registered
competitors, racing with the 375 kW (510 PS) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machine. Depending on the capacity of the
racetracks, additional guest drivers may also enrol. At the majority of last season’s Supercup races, 32 Porsche 911
vehicles treated fans in the packed grandstands to some thrilling racing.
