CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival, returns for a sixth season from 14 to 19 April 2023. The festival is keen to place documentary series in the heart of its selection by launching the first International Documentary Series Competition.
“Whether the main character is sport, history, a crime, a celebrity, the environment or a changing society, it is always about telling stories. And CANNESERIES, which promotes serial writing in all its forms, had to highlight this narration of reality”, Albin Lewi, Artistic Director de CANNESERIES.
With this new section in competition, CANNESERIES wishes to prolong the honour and pleasure of having introduced, among others, the series Dolorès, la Malédiction du Pull-Over rouge, Skateboard : Horizon Verticale, Exterminate All the Brutes, Orelsan – Montre jamais ça à personne…
An international jury entirely dedicated to this competition will be responsible for judging 5 documentary series and awarding the „Best Documentary Series Prize“ during the Closing Ceremony on 19 April 2023.
The Call for Entries for the season 6 of CANNESERIES will be on November 14th.
