The Prince’s Government has taken note of the measures concerning the re-containment
for four weeks from March 20 in 16 French Departments, including that of
Alpes-Maritimes.
It confirms the maintenance of the system currently in force in Monaco until April 2
included which was decided taking into account the health situation in the Principality.
This system is based in particular on the curfew from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., as well as on the recourse
mandatory for teleworking and strict compliance with barrier gestures, including wearing a mask
mandatory everywhere and at all times, including throughout public space.
In view of the new provisions applicable from this weekend in the Departments
French people concerned, the Prince’s Government recommends that Monegasques and
residents to avoid any stay in the 16 reconfigured Departments.
In addition, in line with and in solidarity with the system put in place in the
Neighboring department to fight against the spread of the virus, reinforced controls
will be operated from this Saturday at the Franco-Monegasque border for the next four
weeks in order to avoid an influx of people who do not have a reason
valid to travel to Monaco.
Thus, apart from Monegasque residents, only people working in
Principality and those living in neighboring municipalities, as well as Eze and Menton, may
enter Monegasque territory with presentation of the derogatory certificate
French.
Those wishing to stay in Monaco must continue to present a
hotel reservation and a negative PCR test within 72 hours.
